Is it really bad that I want to do some smoking shots. I don’t even smoke, or like girls that do smoke.

Emma Tarmey Collection I have worked with Emma before and her designs are great and very different from what I normally shoot. For this one she wanted to have a good contrast between her floaty and light collection and the setting. A well known abandoned building in Nottingham was ideal for this. We really lucked out with the weather too, and that gave the opportunity to get some great shots...

Behind the Scenes (Swimwear)
Those sharp eyed visitors will notice my latest set of images; a swimwear shoot in the fashion section. Heres a sneaky behind group shot of those involved. We all had a great day and a special mention has to go to Jemma Saare (Model) as she came a long way for the shoot and managed to perform very well considering she had a cold! From Left: Erik Niemz (Assistant), Sali Jones (MUA), Me...

A busy week (Part 2)
I blogged recently about a crazy week I had. The first part involved an awesome shoot for a local designer. We shot on the Monday, and I had to give her the images Tuesday so she could put them up on exhibition at a Fashion show Thursday. Like I said…crazy week! As it turned out, I ended up shooting the Fashion show as well called 20ten. It was part of the yearly exhibitions that are...

A busy week (Part 1)
Some weeks you can be waiting for clients to respond to your quotes and then other weeks, those same clients will want there work doing at the same time. Well a few weeks ago I had one of the latter examples. A mad week! Part 1 of the week: I had to find a studio and book it within a day of the shoot and then deliver the images the day after the shoot. This isn’t what i normally do. I...

Oxfam Shoot
I recently got asked to do a TF shoot, or a “time for” shoot. I don’t normally like to do these and only do them on very special occasions. Turned out this was a special occasion. A friend of mine, Sam, runs FreeQ magazine (www.freeqmagazine.com) and wanted me to shoot some fashion shots for it. I like FreeQ, because it is a little different from your usual locally run, free...

New Website!
Ok, So I’ve been meaning to update my website for some time.  The last one served it’s purpose very well.  I used it kinda as a portfolio, that I just kept on top off.  Every time I created something good, I’d update the site. It was a great way to look at all the imagery I had created, and take real stock of where I was going and what style I was developing. But websites are...
